. “I’m Tired”

I’M TIRED OF BEING ALONE.

TIRED OF WATCHING EVERYONE AROUND ME

FIND SOMEONE TO LOVE THEM,

WHILE I GO HOME TO AN EMPTY ROOM.

I’M TIRED OF CARRYING EVERYTHING BY MYSELF—

BAGS, EMOTIONS, THE HEAVINESS OF LIFE.

NO ONE OPENS A DOOR FOR ME,

NO ONE BRINGS ME FLOWERS,

NO ONE SAYS, “YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL, YOU MATTER.”

I WANT SOMEONE WHO WILL HUG ME

WHEN THE DEPRESSION GETS TOO MUCH TO CARRY.

SOMEONE WHO WILL WALK JUST 2 KILOMETERS

JUST TO SEE ME,

JUST TO SIT BESIDE ME.

I WANT SOMEONE WHO WON’T LEAVE WHEN I FALL APART.

SOMEONE TO HELP ME OUT OF THIS DARKNESS.

WHO STAYS,

NOT OUT OF OBLIGATION,

BUT BECAUSE THEY CARE.

I’M TIRED OF FEELING LIKE A BURDEN.

LIKE MY MESS IS TOO BIG,

LIKE I CAUSE STRESS JUST BY EXISTING.

EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE REVOLVES AROUND MONEY

LIKE I’M JUST FADING AWAY AT PEACE.

YES, I’M GRATEFUL FOR WHAT I HAVE.

BUT STILL, I’M SCARED.

SCARED OF DISAPPOINTING PEOPLE.

SCARED OF BEING TOO MUCH.

SCARED OF NEEDING TOO MUCH.

I FEEL ASHAMED FOR FEELING THIS WAY,

ASHAMED FOR FEELING SORRY FOR MYSELF,

EVEN THOUGH I SHOULDN’T.

EVEN THOUGH IT HURTS.

AND GOD,

WHY DOES GOD FEEL SO FAR?

WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE IF I REACH OUT,

BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO THE PEOPLE I LOVE?

TO ME?

AM I THE ONLY ONE

WHO KEEPS BREATHING

NOT BECAUSE I WANT TO LIVE

BUT BECAUSE I DON’T WANT TO HURT ANYONE BY LEAVING?

I’M NOT ASKING FOR EVERYTHING.

JUST SOMEONE

JUST ONE PERSON

WHO CHOOSES ME.

WHO STAYS.

2. “For Mom”

FOR MOM

I LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY,

BUT I NEVER KNOW HOW TO COMFORT YOU.

BECAUSE I WAS NEVER TAUGHT HOW TO HEAL

PAIN.

EVEN WHEN YOU SAY

THINGS THAT HURT MY HEART,

I DON’T BLAME YOU.

YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW HOW DEEP IT CUTS.

I FEEL LIKE YOU THINK I’M A FAILURE,

A DISAPPOINTMENT THAT’S LET YOUR DREAMS FALL,

AND YOUR WORDS, JUST LIKE DAD’S,

CUT THROUGH MY HEART

LIKE A KNIFE,

AS IF YOU DON’T REALLY

UNDERSTAND WHO I AM.

I LIVE IN FEAR, HATING

MYSELF EVERY DAY,

BUT IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT

THAT I FEEL THIS WAY.

I WANT TO HEAL YOUR HEART,

TO EASE YOUR PAIN.

I’M TRYING SO HARD, BUT

YOU STILL SEE MY FLAWS.

I CONFESS, I DO THINGS

I’M WRONG.

BUT I’M BROKEN, AND I’M

TRYING TO FIX MYSELF.

PLEASE KNOW, I JUST

WANT TO HELP.

EVEN IF I FALL, I’LL RISE

AGAIN — FOR YOU, FOR US.

3. “I’ll be honest”

I’ll be honest,

I’m feeling a bit hurt, a

Bit unworthy

But just like before, it’s

Not about the money,

It’s not about that.

I’m trying to be a better

Person,

Fighting my

Depression,

Wrestling with God,

Asking why I’m still

Here.

But no one fights for

Me,

No one makes me feel

Special,

And that cuts deep.

Is it because I’m not

Financially strong?

Because I’m not thin?

Or because my mind is

Tangled in darkness?

I don’t know
