Closure

Forgive. Forgive those who didn't care,
Even though you did put your soul out, bare.
For letting go has prices to be paid,
Scathed, the tender gulps down the shallow things were said.
In the wake of the devastation,
Caused by all the passive abrasion,
The mind knows means to pick pieces up and carry on,
But the heart never ceases to care for the gone.
No matter how twisted this logic may seem,
One day all the hopes and the glories you'll be able to redeem.
Defying this abyss, finding the lost piece,
In the puzzle of life,
Exploring the beauty of the journey than to arrive.
Despite how much woe you carry in your chest,
For now, smile your dazzling best.
