I see a leaf shining green

Blooming as sacred as a new born moon

Fresh water droplets

Walking smooth like a snail

Essence as musk

Fading as the light turns away

Withering like sand from hand

Beauty shun away

Like a pebble on a road

.

I see an infant

Crying into this world

Instead of being smiling

Like a rainbow

Under the glowing sun

Just to check if it’s alive

Or dead if can't weep

Why is this so unfair

When we say

"Smile, it’s a new day"

.

I see the rain fade away

Under the darkness of the snow

No sun to shine

No star to glow

Everything shuts down

Like a setting nature

Tired of giving love

When all it receives is hatred

From its own creation

.

I see them sob

Hurt from an affection

Once used to make them gleam

Like a diamond in the coal

Unanswered are their questions

Unfulfilled promises left

With a never-ending hope

That never comes to rest

They wait and wait and wait

But the lightening once struck

Puts everything to a raging flame

.

I see a life ahead

With responsibilities to be done

But nil is the desire

To become what we are meant to be

It is dying inside me

Like a leaf

Crying like that infant

Cornered in my heart

The burning desire of my ultimate soul

Covered with the guilt of rain

And sob

Getting slipped like that sand

From my fingers

.

Diamond, maybe I was

Made from the darkest coal

Is broken like a promise once made

And left unfulfilled

A flower with thorns I am

I think

Just like a rose

When looked from far is alluring

But bleeds the strongest

When tried to love

By plucking it out of its roots

And once dried

Being replaced with another rose

.

Mistake I made

By smiling on the dark cloud

That wept on me

For it was in a pain

I couldn't understand

But it took its toll

I realized that if

I had never smiled

I never had to cry then

If I never had loved

I never had to sacrifice my pride

The guilt I faced

Was it the lesson from above?

.

I run from it

But I still am where I was

I avoid it

But it’s still on my tongue

I never think about it

But it’s still on my mind

It breaks me

But it is still in every piece of mine

I never look at it

But that’s the only image in my eyes

Trying to capture the moments

In a world mirage of paradise

Because I know I can't live

The time I was in

But can re-arrange a puzzle

So I can finally smile

Artificially? Yes

Because my heart knows

It was never meant to be mine.
