The Twists
Some don’t stop
Until they drop,
Some are straightforward with nothing to lose,
But someone always finds something to accuse.
Some feel a mountain’s weight
Then end up with the best fate,
Some at first are prideful and act cool
Then end up as a fool!
Some start left but end up right,
Some don’t win until the final fight!
Someone in the shadows might strive for the light;
Someone low below can reach the highest of heights!
Unity In Diversity
Even though we are not the same
We’re here together as one
Just like the colours in a rainbow,
Embracing one another we glow!
We might be fast; we might be slow
We might be high, or we might be low
But our species remain as one
No matter where we’re from.
Just like leaves, that adorn a tree,
As beautiful as can be
Where everyone can live free
Full of happiness and glee
So this message is to one and all:
Together we stand, divided we fall!
Story Of Me, A Pine Tree
I’ve seen so much from this spot.
My surroundings burnt; my home dead.
You people just don’t stop!
I’ve seen my neighbor collapse,
By a saw and a wooden axe.
His body lifeless and still,
Dragged across the faraway hills.
My story is sad,
It makes me mad.
Now my place is gone
No birds to sing a song!
My site soon became ash
My world gone as quick as a flash!
Orange embers grew wild
Each burnt like the other, damage wasn’t mild
Next to your big home I now stand
Where there is a gray land.
Gone are most of my leaves,
Just like my home, a forest full of trees.
Freedom of Perspective
We all must use the freedom,
Wisely outside,
But in our mind,
it can be a messy ride!
We have the freedom of
Drawing scenes of our side
Or bring out colours of our own
To one’s perspective we don’t have to be confined
We can use freedom to do what’s right,
Instead of using it to start a fight
“No rules” isn’t freedom
That’s what one might think.
We have the freedom to share our views
And make new news.
This world wasn’t one’s sole idea,
But many perspectives combined!
Chasing Dreams
Once I tried to chase some dreams,
That’s harder than it seems,
Tried to find a crystal,
That could make the immortals.
An enticing glittery wishing well
But when I looked down, I fell.
Followed a rainbow to the end,
But not a piece of treasure it lent.
Rummaged through the clovers,
But I got dirty all over
Instead of luck,
I was covered with muck.
Tried to find a treasure chest
Through grass and sand, I dug my best.
To my surprise I found a seal,
But a chest I didn’t see or feel.
Dreams are good at hide and seek,
Chasing these dreams made me meek and weak.
That’s it!
If I want to chase dreams,
I should just go and sleep!
