Cinderella

One quiet step

One open door

A life I never knew before

The candle wake

The curtains rise

And something new is in my eyes

I used to watch the world go by

Behind a window

Out of sight

Keeping every wish so small

Afraid to let it breathe it all

How the hall is shining wide

And I can hear a song inside

The girl who always stood apart

Is following her fearless heart

I do not need to know the end

I only need to start again

The night is opening its arms

And calling me beyond the dark

Here is where the light begins

Where I will let tomorrow in

Every turn and every sway

Carries on my doubt away
