Chrysalis

By Gayathri Paulson

Here I sit

Knowing that chrysalis is

The hardest of all

But still my unfolding wings

Urge me to stay

For something knowingly unknown

The aureole of something

Glittery golden-\purple

That I see

Just I see

It’ hard

I don’t want to stay somewhere

But when I see the strain my wings put,

Just to come out and see light

Makes me stay.

For something knowingly unknown

That I see

Till the world see,
