Many full moons before.

Under the Chennai sky.

Sleepy 3am made me,

Dress up for a date.

Walk out of the eerie room.

Think.

She waiting out in the cold.

Dressed in the softest white.

Winds brought me to senses.

Made me shiver and smile!

Many full moons later.

Hurried heart made me,

Ride a 40 stretch, in 30.

To get a glimpse of her.

Who’s not praying that sunday.

lovestruck to the last vein.

Just to vent to the still moon.

That,

Irani chai touched her lips.

Not me.

Every mask played their part in hiding her.

From me.

The prayers, know her place.

So does her god.

“click click click”, charminar stood in beige.

And I with chai.

Her in mind.
