Chasing Dreams

Golden sunlight filtered through,

The window panes lit in every hue,

A child sat near, dreaming,

Of a world unreachable yet close,

Where there were only friends, no foes, .......

The world, now so large,

doesn't see you or me.

Faces pass by, molding into one,

One so cold, indifferent and without clue,

The dream world transforms too.

Can it be that childhood masks reality?

The world through an infant's eyes,

Is so much better than the truth.

They see a dream, a phantom,

That so many others have also seen

But will it stay just a dream?

Surely, there is no definite answer, but,

If many have the same dream,

It is a vision,

If they also share passion,

Maybe, just maybe, it will truly transcend that dream dimension.
