Challenges

By Manoj Mathur

In life, challenging circumstances arise that appear out of control

Face them on your own merit,

Never get swayed by red-carpet people who around you roll

Many a times under pressure of heavy odds,

One is forced to walk barefoot on sword-like nails

True esteem is earned only if you reach the destination,

Walking barefoot challenging the odds that prevail

When winter is at its peak, one prefers to remain under warm cover

Like in real life, when one is under the bricks and stones shower

Gestures carried with genuine love drenched silent eyes

Conveys better than spoken words, however hard one tries

Misfortunes batter us like icy storm with incredible sway

Never get frustrated or disheartened,

Remember, if autumn is here, the spring cannot be far away
