Candles
By Aryan Jhunjhunwala
A flickering flame mounted,
Wriggling on a threat undoubted,
Below lies a wax made design,
Its sight in dark is divine.
No storm can question its strength,
It nourishes the hope lost, if an intent,
A naïve pleasure is seen,
In a great treasure I have been.
A spark in the dark,
Although only a change of hue, a mark,
Cool the mind, to every extent,
The spark is flame of spirit maintained.
An unseen beauty,
I seek for eternity,
From a moonlit face,
To a fire in the eyes even in the toughest maze.
The ingenuous motion,
The genuine, spiteful quotation,
Jazzed my heart,
And presented me a new start.
The tears changed to sweat,
The hatred to love and I met,
A paradise of paroxysm,
As I understood the ecstasy of axiom.
A newly framed me,
In the mirror I could see,
Like a bright candle light that lit my life,
Shall enlighten my future and my strive.
