C.T. Scan

By Roshan Kumar

The world is drowning

And eventually we all will be drowned

At the bottom of a fishless sea,

No doubt one day the earth will be without a tree.

Our greed is our disease,

It needs no diagnosis, but doctors are busy

With x rays, colonoscopy and C.T scan,

Water is suppose to travel through a river, not through a can

Or a water van, the skin of the whale these days itch

As we pay more attention on the conditions of cricket pitch.

The food web is broken and creatures have begin to disappear

From the food chain, last evening I met a dying crane

Moaning from the infection of the pain caused by less rain, that’s a pity,

Without rain there cannot grow a city. As by today morning we are

Still no machines, but bodies run by almost 33,000 human genes.

We all are witness of our collective sins still not in jails,

We are the cause behind the extinction of amphibians and snails.
