But…I’m human

I’m penniless

I’m not a graduate

I’m jobless

But…I’m human

Respect me like you would respect a tycoon.

Give me a chance like I know how to place a tassel.

Be on the lookout for me like I’m the one paying your debts.

But…I’m human

You call me unworthy

You call me uneducated

You call me useless

But…I’m human

Did you know I can give you things money can’t buy?

Did you know my feelings can be more symbolic than an academic regalia?

Did you know the world taught me more things than being cooped up in an office could?

But…I’m human

My heart is rich enough to love you.

My brain is smart enough to create more for us.

My unemployment is around enough to keep the house pest-free.
