ਭਾਰ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਦਾ, ਗੱਠੜੀ ਭਾਰੀ,

ਦੱਸ ਕਿੰਨਾਂ ਕ ਚਿਰ ਢੋਏਗਾ,

ਆਖਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਵੇ ਮਨਾ

ਰੋ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਹੁਓਲਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

The burden of sorrows, the burden is heavy,

Tell me how long you will hold it.

In the end, oh my heart

You will be done only by crying.
