It has always been mine, I’ve kept it to me

My hands with it

for a lifetime to be.

It’s for the water, it unfurled the roots

Nothing would suffice

to brace its pursuits.

I was born in these flames, to light, in a seed

Don’t put out the fire

for it’s warmth, that I need.
