Broken Toys

‘Organ donation campaigns’ has hit the world over

Some here it deeper, some push it over

I am here as a thinker and a quick learner

Life’s a tragic spinner, who knows the next corner

“Should I be the donor?” I asked my mind’s interior

Stumbled upon a boulder to make it all clear.

A story in Japan significantly theatrical

Threading needle to amend life

The act itself magical

Teaching young minds to fix ‘Broken Toys’

When the world termed it a bore, Japan re-worked the store.

To every broken doll a new limb added

To every broken bird a new wing attached

To every fallen hair a new braid plaited

To every silenced heart a new mortar fitted.

‘Broken Toys’ aren’t a throw-away in Japan

But fixed to give life, that is their noble plan.

Teaching the value of a Donor

Training small minds to give them honour

Japan has opened to a whole new learning

That anchored my mind to a fresh new beginning.

I may be long gone, but my life will yet thrive

As a beacon to keep alive, some life - some shine.

Let the donor in you give ear to this voice

To give life to someone is solely your choice

But that grace He will pour, you'll be surprised

No pomp, no show silently in disguise.
