Broken, Not Forgotten

A bond that once was strong and bright,

A friendship cherished day and night.

A man and woman, side by side,

Inseparable, in each other’s might.

Through laughter and tears, they shared it all,

A love that seemed to never fall.

A friendship that was built to last,

A love so pure, a love so vast.

But time and trials, took their toll,

And cracks appeared upon their souls.

Misunderstandings, words unspoken,

A love once whole, now bruised and broken.

The warmth that once was in their touch,

Now replaced by distance, a little much.

The smiles that once lit up their face,

Now replaced by silence, an empty space.

The laughter that once echoed loud,

Now replaced by tears, lost in the crowd.

The trust that once was firm and true,

Now replaced by doubt, a painful rue.

They drift apart, with hearts in pain,

Hurt and longing, like pouring rain.

They try to salvage what's been lost,

But the bridge they built, now seems to cost.

They reminisce about the past,

A love that they thought would always last.

But now, it's shattered, scattered and gone,

A friendship and love that's been undone.

Yet, in their hearts, a flicker remains,

A memory of love that still sustains.

For broken friendships, and shattered love,

Leave scars that remind of the treasure trove.

For in the pain, and in the sorrow,

They find the strength, to face tomorrow.

To learn, to grow, to heal the heart,

To make a fresh, brand-new start.

Words were spoken, hearts were hurt,

Tears were shed, emotions curt.

The lessons learned, and the love once shared,

Will live on in our hearts, forever spared.

So let us remember, though love may fade,

Friendships crack, as days get swayed,

Memories cherished, still remain,

A bond broken, not forgotten.
