Broken Men Who Break Me

Rose thorns imbrue in scarlet sap,

Pristine petals turn maroon,

I leave my door ajar,

Should he return soon.

And though I admire the flower,

The prickle seals my fate.

The same hand that gives love,

Be the same that confiscates.

As such have I faced virility,

They are, but broken men who break me.
