Broken Bond
By Disha Dave
She is my best friend forever
whom I cannot loose ever
she understands me the most
she stands by me when no one does
she understands the unspoken words
she wipes all unseen tears
the calmness which I feel after talking to her
it was like having soul sister in her
the longest journey of 18 years we had
we experienced it all, sticking by each other, we are glad
we had fights, we had laughter
we had tears, we had each other that matters
our parents adored what we had
we had entry pass to each other’s home
when we come unannounced, make it our own
the journey of childhood pictures to adulthood
it will make our friendship to bloom
jealous others for admiring what we had
we had experienced it all, we are glad
over the years, overcoming hundreds of fights
our friendship come to this height
sometimes there is an unknown silence between us
but somewhere deep down we trust us
even if we didn’t talk for years
we know that our bond will stay with us
the unseen trust was our strength
but one day a third person come and shattered it to length
I thought nothing and no one can come between us
But that was the illusion I live in for years
Someone came, something happen
And years of bond, break into pieces
Just like mirrors shattered into pieces
No tears came out from my eyes
When knife ripped out the broken ribs
Just like that sharp pain hurt my heart to no limits
Even though it’s hard to go beyond your self-respect
But when the person is important you will go beyond that
Efforts are made to reach out, just like before
But there is no warmness that was feel before
The memories cause tears in eyes
It will cause pain all our lives
The bond that used to be unbreakable for years
It broke just within minutes causing fears
I thought I found soul sister who will never leave me
No matter what happens
It turns out she is just like others
Leave when new people came forgetting the bond of years
There is nothing remain but a broken bond
But I still wish her happiness that she deserves
My pain is nothing beyond our friendship
Because at the end of the day I still wishes
That whoever, wherever she is, she finds all the happiness
This broken bond will do nothing but good to her
