Brighter

The sky was so clear

The stars were so big

The moon had a bright radiance

The glow of a kiss from his darling

She was glad to meet her midnight friends

She was happy to miss him

Because there were no tears this time

The warmth of moments she'd call him mine

And with a smile,

she asked the moon, "Why?"

She was impatient yet patient

One day closer until she dies

The breeze was cooler.

The distant lights were brighter.

Farther cities, too, did twinkle.

The girl loved every minute.

A wish, a long breathe, an hour later

Tell him how his smile would make days better

But it aches to keep emotions hidden

Only smiles and tears make you dull and brighter
