Bridging Generation

I come from the bridging generation

We acknowledge the existence of anxiety, depression, PTSDs 

And the world that’s grey

But, are absolutely clueless about ways to deal with them

We can neither live like our parents, 

Sacrificing every bit of ourselves for the sake of others;

Nor can we completely embrace 

The dope and detached lives of our younger ones

We are the feeble generation that’s

Not too ancient to not ask questions, 

Doesn’t believe in fairytales, yet

Secretly hopes for one

And we’re definitely not too practical for 

‘No-Strings-Attached’
