Me : Hey mind, please give me bail,

I haven’t committed any crime, get me out of this jail.

Just for a little moment, let me breathe,

Just for a little while, let me distract myself,

Just for a little time, let me do my work.

I promise I will turn up in the court tonight

Just let me escape for a little while

Give me a release before my trial.

Mind : Hmm, I can grant you that on payment of bail,

But what do you pay when you are so poor?

What do you put forward when you are so empty?

Me : Happy memories, happy memories!

I will give them to you as a guarantee

That I will show up in the court tonight.

It’s all I have left to sustain and I give them to you

I give you the most precious things I own

But please, just let me breathe for a little while

Mind : Okay, go, have fun while you can

And better show up in the court tonight

Or you know what will happen to all your riches

My brain was my dementor

It feeded on my happy moments

I knew if I didn’t show up in the court tonight

All my favourite moments will get ruined

Either by making them seem like false memories

Or by forming negative neuro-associations using them

I ran as fast as I could.

I tried to smile and paint, dance, do yoga,

As as sword kept hanging above my head.

A sword that was never supposed to kill me

Well not physically at least

It was just there to make me die many deaths without physically killing me

Mind : Come on now, it’s the end of your bail.

You have to spend your entire life in this jail,

I pity your lawyer, who fights only to fail.

The court proceedings went on

My lawyer gave every evidence which proved me innocent

The judgement was clear, I had to be let free

But just then I stood up,

I accepted my crime

I just accepted I was guilty.

My lawyer started shouting

Repeated all the evidences to prove me innocent

But all those voices drowned when I said, shut up, I am guilty.

The judgement became clear, I had to be jailed.

I got locked up.

Felt like I will always remain trapped in this guilt.

What the hell?

What the hell is going on?

What kind of a court is this?

The court was my brain

my lawyer was my logic

The accused was I

The accuser was my OCD

Logic came up to me

What’s the logic in fighting for you every time

when at the end you completely abandon me

How can you give a judgement against yourself?

You were the accused, but you were the judge too

How could you.

Me : Umm I gotta go

I am SORRY

And don’t come to save me now.

Logic stared at the accuser

The accuser just grinned

Logic said, lemme help you.

You do know we share the same home right?

We both live in her brain.

Why do you do this? Why are you destroying our home?

I enjoy space. I don’t want to share it with you.

I will make sure not a trace of you is left over here.

Stay while you can, you gonna be kicked out soon.

Logic gave it a death stare.

You know what, Stay while you can.

I am going to get her JUSTICE. NO MATTER WHAT. JUSTICE WILL PREVAIL.
