Blinkoogrou

Skadu’s van verlies,

waar stilte die lug swaar hang

staan jy –

met oё wat steeds lig vang.

Jou trane glinster,

minder as gebrokenheid,

maar as sterre

wat die donker nag rou breek.

Blinkoogrou –

pyn wat sing,

woorde wat lig dra,

waarhede wat mooi bly,

Selfs in sy rou.

. . .

Jy sê my oё blink?

maar jy mis

hoe geronde lig

oor glas skerwe.

Die glans minder as hoop,

maar as ‘n masker,

oё wat glimlag

sodat almal die leuen koop.

Blinkoogrou –

nie sterre nie,

maar skynsels,

weerkaatsings van pyn

wat onuitgepraat bly.
