Hiding behind glasses of wine

and a half eaten salmon.

Conversations that were soothing

with minds a little calmer.

We see each other in the eye

smiling, while sharing stories

from our past and

rewriting them to make it sound fun.

Hoping, wishing that one day

I make some with you

and live it, endlessly.
