Blame For A Pain
By Rabhya Gupta
Pain,
for a long, she prayed for it to go away.
Plain
was her smile and her face.
Name,
the only hope, but now he, too, played.
Blame,
puts on her heart, for she never got the game.
Pain,
felt at a place very deep inside her chest.
Plain,
are now her sleeves, the ones who used to be blessed.
Names,
that no more deserve what is called respect.
Blames,
be them, for whom that night she killed herself.
Pain,
the more you stop, the more it hurts.
Plain,
turned her choices for her shirts.
Names,
not even hers, does it matter?
Blames,
the gods, who kept saying, "It's for the better."
Pain,
it comes, but it never leaves.
Plain,
life turns, just like autumn leaves.
Name,
The one she bowed to until she sleeps.
Blame,
I would, no one but her cruel destiny.
