Birdei Episodes

Birds visit me on my kitchen window,

I notice them, see them come and go.

Screaming loudly, asking for food.

Temper tantrums, thinking I am a fool.

When I go on a holiday and return,

They are happy to see me back.

They remember me;

I remember them in return.

In summer, they build a nest,

Soon a baby bird is their new conquest.

The war is on; we cannot stand near our window.

They are scared we would harm the baby bird.

Screaming, hitting hard not allowing to come near.

Like parents, the baby would be hurt, they fear.

One day, the baby flew away,

And everything became normal.

These birdie’s may not be my friends,

But our relationship is normal and real.
