Beyond The Charade...

I lost everything that was once held important to me,

And I realised that nothing ever was, and nothing will ever be;

More important than the thing that no one else can see.

Buried deep beyond the walls that I’ve built,

Surrounded by lakes and rivers of guilt,

Hidden in a garden where everything, but it, will wilt.

When everything perishes and the world will weep,

Where my body will be in deep, deep sleep,

It alone will find the joy to leap.

Beyond the charade of life and death,

As we obliviously participate till our dying breath,

It’s the soul, whose tending we often do forget.
