Between Florals Of lavender Is Where I Belong
By Varsha Ravivenkatesh
Horizonless meadows of elegant lavender
the amethyst bulbs of soft floral envelopes
their serpentine edges grazing my cracked skin
bringing life into my rusted veins
The blooms swaying in the wind
dancing to the rhythm of nature
the gentle rustling sound of footsteps
echoing throughout the endless valley
Violet hues clashing with the golden sunrise
their colors dancing on the white canvas
of my glassy eyes playing an old film
brilliant pigments exploding in my mind
The upright flower spikes
knowing exactly where to go
upwards into the ether
their bare branches a beauty of their own
The scent of peace wafting through the air
strong with its own will, fresh
lifting the essence of my spirit
making it waft through the air
A peaceful landscape unravels
as the night creeps in
the golden shadow replaced with
curtains of azure
the lavender blends right in
existing in the spectra
here I feel like I belong
not an outsider
but as a shadow of lavender
wafting in between the endless bushes
