BEAT ME BLACK AND BLUE.

Beat me black and blue,

Until all I see is you,

Leave me battered and bruised,

Succumbing to your abuse.

Beat me black and blue,

What else can I expect from you,

Other than to shut and cut me down,

And leave me bleeding like a clown.

Beat me black and blue,

Disoriented without a clue,

Then walk away scot free,

After stripping me off my glee.

Beat me black and blue,

Whenever rent is due,

Because that’s all you can do,

And that’s the only thing I know is true.

Beat me black and blue,

Deny me my right to sue,

Trying to force my silence,

By the weight of your violence.

Beat me black and blue,

Under the sole of your shoe,

Is where my virtue lies,

And the truth beneath your lies.

Beat me black and blue,

Biting off more than you can chew,

Can’t pick on someone your own size,

Because that’s the start to your demise.

So now you’re beaten black and blue,

Under the sole of karma’s shoe,

You could never measure up to me,

So watch me spread my wings be free.
