Battleship Of Life
By Anila Parveen
Sometimes it happens that you may feel let down,
But you could only rise from the bottom and not from the toppest crown.
Somedays we might feel alone getting lost in the dark dungeons of thought,
But only then you do realise that one day you'll be alone in a burial shroud.
Because your mother taught you well about the demons under your bed,
Maybe she forgot to mention about the ones in your head.
Yes they maybe closest to your heart,
smiling on your face with a knife on your back.
And one day they'll leave you feeling empty,
Causing a worst pain by calling you a seeker for sympathy.
In that dark room when you go down on your knees,
you'll break silently with your heart's falling into pieces.
Later you might realise what you have done,
but by then with death on door it will be too late for you to repent.
But with a good intention you shall forgive them with a courageous soul that you have,
do it with a clean heart before they even ask.
And always remember that time might have been wrong to you but you still smiled,
That's a sign of wounded warrior fighting in a war to survive.
Because at the end of the day you'll win the battle of life with your kindness,
And that's the peace you shall have when you'll be on your permanent rest.
