Breathe!

Steady yourself!

The world’s not just happening your way.

It’s a little bit for everybody to follow

and I’m glad that it is so because if that were to be false, where would I go?

Maybe I’ll stumble, crumble, bend and break!

I’m not sure but I think in a million ways;

There’s a battleship looking to burn more cities!

Is it one of ours or the enemy’s?

What difference does it make?

I’m not yours to take,

Though I’m afraid,

I won’t be giving,

Something we’ve made;

For the young and tomorrow,

For they’ll be at fault,

If they carry on,

Living our mistakes.

The world thinks it loves diamonds and stuff,

But every step of the way we are heading nowhere but the grave;

We’ve lived in caves and we’ve passed that phase,

Yet we are pretty occupied for some gold to paint our cage.

We ought to follow the rules,

But there is one thing about rules we already know,

The more that we have, the more we will break,

Because we think we are a big thing in this little world.

One half of my lungs are out helping me breathe,

I call that a wood but I can’t live without that tree,

The world is so much more simpler if we see,

I get to exhale now, I get to be me!

I get to be me!
