Autumn
By Joseph Prem
Wandering around in
damp woods,
the leaves leading
the path,
the tight breeze
carrying me away,
Being lost never
felt so calm.
After all, autumn took
the irony away.
Who knew shedding
green would only
make it better.
-Autumn
Gold painted over Green,
the autumn breeze wooing the
withering leaves filled the sky
with a musky scent.
Falling down never looked so
graceful, for the leaves
were no different from falling stars.
The wooden bench draped
in gold and peach blades is
the most unappreciated
artwork of Carpo.
The starry blue sky is
no longer the apple of the eye,
for autumnn has taken over
painting everything else
over the horizon.
