As The Lark calls

As the lark calls

and I resign to bed,

As the sunrays fall,

and the walkers tread;

Thus I lay alone

and think of one unthought,

Seated on a throne,

Of my mind's court distraught;

Who, Smiling through a haze,

Piercing this yearning heart,

With passion ablaze,

does in the end painfully part.
