The confinement of being an artist

arose on the most ordinary of days,

the surge of ‘modern’ traditions

overthrew the usual ways,

now treated as

Cinderella’s slipper, left astray.

The artistry of weaving novel realities,

filament of limitless ideas,

reaches a halt.

The needle’s eye

as close as Adam’s creation,

abruptly struck by deception,

the thread that once glided through

now incompatible with the tools

it was once familiar with.

Occluded by an artificial dexterity,

like the scent of a flower

mimicked as a fragrance,

uncanny resemblance yet

dishonouring the authenticity.

Acclaiming talentless androids

who forge pieces of mastery,

generating duplicate imitations

of compositions capturing

the essence of its unfeigned creator,

‘crafted’ by a brush

it didn’t even own.
