Arise From Within

Updated: Apr 10, 2024

By Devika Thankachy S

With the fertilizer of miseries

My growth was eased

Slanders inevitable for not flowering

How far I not to blossom

Bruises given by you

To come out the resin in me

In the compost of false-hearted dungs

Either die or ingest and spring up high

When they give off a filthy odour

Sniff out and emit fragrance

Some hit me like pruning branches

To sprout out the new me

Let the adversity be the

Food to become fearless

No place for hatred

Struggles nourished with acceptance

When weeds are plucked by my keeper

Me, Dazzlingly bloomed with virtue

When I got concentrated with manure

You burst into tears of rain sharing my grief

So far I know you’re blessed with a creative mind and this profession best suits you, sister. All you need is more practice to write, I guess.
