Another Drive Home From Work

The setting sun sends his love

blazing across the sky,

whose clouds which once were pale

now exude a golden glow.

I instinctively avoid the pothole

that gapes before the bus stop,

and think of the Big Bang,

and the widening space

between galaxies,

and of my grandfather,

and his growing proximity

to death.

At the traffic light, I gaze at the sky.
