Anonymity
By Anika Rajvanshi
Pretty glossy eyes,
And flushed rosy cheeks.
A smile that hides a million lies,
A heart worth an infinite antiques.
Those teary eyes tell a story,
Whispering along the lonely tunes,
A tale full of misery,
Withering in the autumn blues.
Listen closely,
It is a voice laced with uncertainty.
Soft and alluring,
Sweet like honey.
See carefully,
A walk slow and unsteady,
Hair slightly messy,
Hands just as shaky.
If ever asked out of concern,
Are you okay?
A slight nod and a swift turn,
To push the question away.
Linger in the walls,
Those broken cries.
The next day the sun falls,
And the story dies.
Unheard and unfortunate,
Never lives to see the light.
Fades in the night weight,
A story full of fight.
