I

am a dancer,

my feet,

twirling to a hushed rhythm,

my wind-blown hair,

a halo,

glistening in the rising sun,

resonating with a thousand sparkles-

a scintillating percussion-

I sway,

to the unheard music,

of a charmer’s reed

my hands,

swan glide into ‘mudras,’

my face,

alight with’navarasas’ . . .

the dancer and the dance

coalescing to become

an ocean of ‘bhavanas.’
