An Ode To My Teacher
By Bavatharani S
The first day in my class when I entered the door,
Those hands snuggled me when I was sobbing and rubbing my eyes with sore.
That was you, who was there.
When I was lisping to pronounce the word `whereas’
Those lips taught me with a cool caress.
That was you, who was there.
When I was an introvert fellow,
Those eyes depicted to be an extrovert and say hello!
That was you, who was there.
When I become listless and weary in the school,
There were motivating words to say how to rule.
That was you, who was there.
When people make mockery of me,
There was a lopsided smile which says me to stay always in glee.
That was you, who was there.
When my surroundings curse me I`m incorrigible,
There was a heart to say I`m eligible.
That was you, who was there
When I have reached my zenith,
There is a guideline beneath.
The soul who has moulded this is you,
And the souls who have been moulded come to the world of new!
