An Elusive Vortex
By Saswati Deb
There is a treacherous placidity in hollowness; There is a benign love that my being shares with this vortex filled with disorder and menace. I never considered sadness to be evasive in nature. The ephemerality of joy felt illusive and something I should rather elude.
The slumber upon the waves that bring in swirls of humdrum malaise swifts me across the room to the place, where the light peeks in to get a sense of this unlikely rendezvous filled with a calmness that prevail, when you realise that the storm has taken away every bit of order you had in your life. I never thought I will come back here, I never thought of eluding the light; But just as I feel my legs being weighed down by these rocks that keep me drowned in a pool of elusive entropy, a deep slumber follows. I feel an undying gush of peace and the clenching quiet that follows.
