Alone

I can make it alone,

But I don't want to make it alone.

I want you all to lead me to the light,

Through all the darkness,

Where the ray of light fights,

To make it through the blackness.

I can make it alone,

But I don't want to make it alone.

When you say I am not one of you,

A part of me dies inside,

A part of me hurts,

When I see disappointment in your eyes.

And then I start feeling disgusted by myself,

Then I try to understand who am I

But I am just left with questions:

Why can't I be a part of this world?

Why can't I embrace a different shade of love?

Why do I have to act like a person,

That was assigned to me at birth?

Why can't emotions win over words?

Why can't I be what I want to be forever?

Yes I can make it alone,

But I don't want to make it alone.

I don't need your help,

Just want to make you understand,

That we all can make a world,

Where all can love and understand each other.

Where we are one,

Like the spectrum which forms the white light.

I know I can make it alone,

But I don't want to make it alone.
