with seven eyes
and feet of clay
soaked in ancient
ancestral libation
The ancient one
with the seven cowrie coins of divination
across Ogodumu river
I salute you!

Open the eyes of the forest to me tonight!
Let me see beyond the wind
as I stand and clap your praise on incantations of obeisance.
Open my ears to the sound of the forest with my holocaust of adulation ,
and my fire dance !

Hear my invocation
and grant access
to the field and the deep.
Let the cheetah standstill at my presence
while the antelope quiver with the death-dance at my killing spear tonight!

My spear , crowned with the amulets of victory.
But, I must pray,
or become the prey!
