After meeting you*

My eyes, after meeting you,

were happier than I could understand. Neither my feelings nor my self were in control,

The urge to lay in your arms,

the warmth in your presence,

made me feel complete in ways I can’t explain.

I never knew this heart of mine

was suffering so deeply, so quietly, for you. I never gave myself a chance to hear its echoes. The distance just made me blind and deaf.

And once again, this aching heart couldn’t resist. It just fell into your hands,

as if it always belonged to you.
