Acceptance
By B P Rachiti
When reality lies understated beneath
Beneath an ocean of prejudices
Prejudices that one has against oneself
Oneself that has seen shinier times
Times that one knows will indeed come and go
Going away thus, that never seemed harder
Hard because, how does one run away from what one truly is.
Is the scare or fear mean one cares?
Care that may be stereotyped for internalization
Internalizing that could mean being invincible or tunneling to destruction
Destruction that is best understood as wrapped in infinite remorse
Remorse that is unbiased to both, the weak and strong
Strong that is often misinterpreted for the number of wins
Winning that is a thing of the past now it seems,
And a past that one runs away from often
Often thus, being the number of times one despises against the awareness of what seems to be an endless loop.
Loops that thus, teach us that maybe, destiny does in fact exist.
For not we know the depth of it,
But willing to co-exist whilst it, maybe stands to answer the reason of it all.
