I write when the sky is cloudy,

Making everything around rowdy.

I write when the tremor shakes the earth

The cosmic forces dance with full mirth.

I write when the earth is thirsty

Besmeared with sweat, muddy and nasty.

I write when I’m utterly penniless

Insult and pain is the only thing I face.

I write when the birds fly in the sky

And any earthly connection deny.

I write when Death strikes at the door

And the beloved companion is seen no more.

I write when I can claim nothing to be mine,

when my damp dull soul faces famine.
