A World Of Words

Picked up the pen after ages,

Just to realize how I’m burning to ashes.

Lost the ability to think,

Mind and body are out of sync.

Searching for solace within four walls,

Cramped up in the corner as the night falls.

Speaking to myself in the darkness,

Glimmering eyes yearned for happiness.

Unaware of the time, it was breaking dawn,

Birds chirped melodies as the sun shone.

Gazed at the blank page in the sunlight,

Plenty to say but nothing to write.
