A True Love Story
By Sharlet Mary Alvares
Once there was a girl who was the fairest of all,
Not in terms of colour but justice, service and call,
She was good looking but never deceived any,
Neither did she boast of her looks or ask a penny,
She clung on to her family for expenses so many.
She had two brothers who were funny and silly,
They thought they were better and felt uncanny,
She was seen as a weirdo who behaved strangely,
When she uttered her thoughts out all laughed insanely,
But if you noticed her words, basic justice was what it was merely.
She worked hard and competed with the best,
She carved her way over the top with varied tests,
Solutions were discovered on the way for challenges,
That were seen impossible and had lost its balances,
Answers are revealed with whole lot of penances.
He was doomed with injustice for the tribe he attributed,
His family were snake tamers and largely contributed,
Medicines, anti-venom, were safely formulated,
His people had saved crowds from poisonous traps,
Had wondered from place to place with unique maps.
He paved his way into dance where he stood a chance,
In spite of the differences and discrimination that pranced,
He submerged into these without complaining to any,
All he thought was to be defensive and say no to plenty,
At last he emerged successful with tons of merit and candy.
He was at a position where he accepted her as his student,
He was tried and tested because she was impatient,
Although she never targeted his thinking or approaches,
He was insecure because she had found out his searches,
He had a habit where he stole things without proper researches.
He had kept two of her belongings without her permission,
One was the wings of an eagle and the other the pot of cognition,
She wanted to rescue him from doing such and leave his accomplices,
So she firmly asked him to return them without grumbling,
As she knew he had drowned himself in it for he was struggling.
She still prays for a healthy combat with him all time soon,
For in it, She aspires to draw him to purity and truth by noon,
She will place her gentle hand on his injured neck with poison,
A poison of crimes that he has swallowed for no reason,
She doesn’t regret his choice but hopes to see him healed by the next season.
