This is a tale of two; a shadow and- a shoe, a root and a shoot, a ship and a boot: Shadow: I am with you even in shine, even with terrible rind, you know me, I am always behind. Shoe: my existence is connected to soles, not in dark sides of lore. I fit only in my pair not into anyone's layer. Shadow: I don't have soles. But I do carry a heavy hole. Root: like shadow, I do have a soul; deep into base, I root for a shoot. Shoot: I am evergreen, I flourish in sunshine, I am more into leaves and flowers outside. Root: You could hide my cologne, but shoot without root never last long.
Ship: I have plenty of space, I may carry all, though I lack control. I am unknown to my role.
Boot: I put a foot here; end up elsewhere. I seek grip. But the ship always shakes trip.
Ship: I see boots and nothing more. I could not do this anymore.

a root and a shoot, a ship and a boot.
