I.

Smoke plumes dance gracefully as I light a cigarette with my friend. I try to envision countering a smoke with you, and in an instant, lose all my right senses- for I know that the butterflies in my stomach would awaken when our fingers touch for that sweet split second.

II.

I'd put my head on your shoulder and you'd put your warm hands on my aching thighs, as we desperately try to make up for all the lost time.

Competitive games and witty banter and criminal teases throughout the week-

Oh, my love, what in the world have you done to me?

III.

I often wake up and find myself reminiscing over your musky cologne and realise that I've once again fallen down the melancholic rabbit hole- a damn labyrinth until I eventually make my way out, only to be reminded that you're not nuzzled up beside me, on this now cold couch.

IV.

Church Street and an isolated Lavelle Road, we'll slow dance when you're back and I won't ever let go

hold onto me and grasp onto my love.

yes, it's terrifying- you're messy and I'm unsteady but darling don't you see?

our love is dangerously analogous to art, to poetry and other beautiful mysteries, and when it's lonely and quiet and the music's run out, we could always sway to our everlasting symphony.
