A Soulful Night...

By Swarnavo Ghosh

Nostalgia dropped silkily slow from the robes of velvety black

Hugged the saccharine billows of the skies- perfumed and slack.

Semantic thoughts like rolling waves, crashes and tears

Moved in and gently sallied out in pairs.

I sat in the shadowy plumes, softly waiting…

Moonbeams- frothy and sentimental, rode across the starry air

And tenderly dipped into the trees standing bare-

An ode to my rippling memories- vivid and sensational!

All these robbed a piece of me

Amid the whispers of moonbeams- as soothing as sea.

It was my mighty soul draped with a mélange of emotions

Spreading its rich contents across the mantle of starlit black- a rare concoction!
