A son afar

Somedays,

A broken ray of light

escapes the branches

and cast your shadow

on the monsoon courtyard.


Sometimes,

An aimless breeze

climbs over the flowering fence—

fills the room with your smell.





Some evenings,

the dark clouds

burst onto a quivering leaf—

a single drop of your memory.


This longing—

stretches out over the deserts

dives into the deep seas

becomes a mirage

blanketing the heart,

left alone like a whimper.

അകലെയൊരു മകൻ

// സാജിത ടികെ


ചില പുലരികളിൽ

ഒരു മുറിഞ്ഞ വെളിച്ചം

ചില്ലകളിലൂടിറങ്ങിവന്ന്

മുറ്റം നിറയെ

നിന്റെ നിഴൽ വിരിക്കും.


ചില നേരങ്ങളിൽ

ഒരു കാറ്റ്

വേലിപ്പടർപ്പിലെ പൂക്കളെ

തഴുകി വന്ന്

അകം നിറയെ

നിന്റെ മണം പരത്തും.


ചില സന്ധ്യകളിൽ

ഇരുണ്ട് വന്ന മേഘങ്ങൾ

ഒരു ഇലക്കുമ്പിളിൽ

തിമിർത്തു പെയ്ത്

നിന്നോർമ്മകളുടെ ഒരു തുള്ളി

ബാക്കി വെക്കും.


ഒടുവിൽ ഈ കാത്തിരുപ്പ്

മരുഭൂവിയോളം പരന്ന്

ആകാശത്തോളമുയർന്ന്

കടലോളം ആഴ്ന്നിറങ്ങി

മരീചിക തീർത്ത്

ഒരു വിങ്ങലായി

മനസ്സിനെ പൊതിഞ്ഞു നിർത്തും.
